The Works of Lord Byron, Vol. 7. Poetry
The seventh and final poetry volume of the Works of Lord Byron edited by Ernest Hartley Coleridge, published in 1904, sweeps up the jeux d'esprit and minor poems written between 1798 and 1824 that had not found a place in the earlier volumes: schoolboy epigrams, the Ode to the Framers of the Frame Bill, The Devil's Drive, Windsor Poetics, the Song for the Luddites, the verse epistles to Thomas Moore and to his publisher John Murray, ballads, lampoons and occasional lines, many printed here for the first time from manuscript. The volume closes with a bibliography of the poems, a list of translations of each work, and the general index and index of first lines to the whole edition. The full text is available to read online in your browser on Vinteuil, and the first poems are free.
