About 31 h 46 min of reading878 chapters

This collection, edited by Alexander Balloch Grosart and first published in three volumes in 1876, gathers the prose of William Wordsworth. The first volume contains his political and ethical writings, among them the unpublished Apology for the French Revolution of 1793, The Convention of Cintra and his letters on education. The second brings together his aesthetic and literary prose, including the prefaces to the Lyrical Ballads and his other poems, the essays on epitaphs and the Guide to the Lakes. The third offers notes on the poems, letters and extracts of letters, and conversations and reminiscences of the poet recorded by others. Together they show the thinker behind the poetry. The full text is available to read online in your browser on Vinteuil, and the first chapter is free.
