About 8 h 03 min of reading171 chapters

This sixth volume of William Knight's edition of Wordsworth arranges the poems in the order of their composition, from 1814 to 1820, with the editor's notes on dates, sources and revisions. It opens with Laodamia and the poems of a tour in Scotland, including Yarrow Visited, and continues with the dedication to The White Doe of Rylstone, sonnets such as Surprised by Joy, the odes on the peace after Waterloo, The Pass of Kirkstone, the Ode to Lycoris, poems inspired by the Yorkshire caves of Malham Cove and Gordale, and pieces from Oxford in 1820. These are the poems of Wordsworth's middle years, more reflective and formal than his early lyrics. It is available to read online in your browser on Vinteuil, and the first poems are free.
