About 5 h 47 min of reading70 chapters

Tales of the Jazz Age, published in 1922, is F. Scott Fitzgerald's second collection of short stories, introduced by a playful table of contents in which he comments on each piece. It includes "The Jelly-Bean," set in a small Georgia town; "The Camel's Back"; "May Day," a long story of New York in 1919; the fantasy "The Diamond as Big as the Ritz," about a family that owns a mountain made of a single diamond; and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," about a man who ages backward. There are also "Porcelain and Pink," "Tarquin of Cheapside," "O Russet Witch!," "The Lees of Happiness" and two short burlesques. The book gave its name to the decade. The full text is available to read online in your browser on Vinteuil, and the first story is free.
