Holy in Christ
Thoughts on the Calling of God's Children to be Holy as He is Holy
Holy in Christ, by the South African minister Andrew Murray, is a book of thirty-one daily meditations on God's call to his people to be holy as he is holy. Murray takes the word holy as his subject and traces it through Scripture: God's call and provision for holiness, holiness in creation, revelation, redemption and glory, holiness and obedience, the indwelling Spirit, the priesthood, separation from the world, the Holy One of Israel, and on into the New Testament teaching on sanctification in Christ. Each chapter ends in prayer. Written in the devotional manner of his earlier Abide in Christ, it was widely read in the holiness movement of the late nineteenth century. The full text is available to read online in your browser on Vinteuil, and the first chapter is free.
