Summa Theologica, Part I-II (Pars Prima Secundae)
From the Complete American Edition
The Prima Secundae is the first half of the second part of Thomas Aquinas's Summa Theologica, presented here in the English translation of the Fathers of the Dominican Province. Having treated God and creation in the first part, Aquinas turns to man as a moral agent. The 114 questions begin with man's last end and the nature of happiness, then analyze human acts, the will, the passions of love, hatred, fear, anger and the rest, and habits and virtues. Questions on vice and sin follow, and the part closes with the treatise on law, natural, human and divine, and the treatise on grace. Each article states objections before answering them. The full text is available to read online in your browser on Vinteuil, and the first chapter is free.
