Stuart Dodgson Collingwood

Stuart Dodgson Collingwood (1870–1937) was an English clergyman, schoolmaster and the nephew and first biographer of Lewis Carroll. The son of Carroll's sister Mary, he was educated at Christ Church, Oxford, his uncle's college, and after Carroll's death in 1898 was asked by the family to write The Life and Letters of Lewis Carroll, which appeared the same year and drew on the diaries and letters then in the family's hands. He followed it with The Lewis Carroll Picture Book (1899), a collection of his uncle's unpublished sketches, puzzles and juvenilia. He was later ordained and served as a headmaster and parish priest.
