Richard Brooke

Richard Brooke was an English antiquary of Liverpool in the mid-nineteenth century and a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries. He walked the battlefields of the Wars of the Roses and recorded what could still be seen of them in Visits to Fields of Battle, in England, of the Fifteenth Century, published in 1857, adding papers on Cheshire families and churches, the royal menagerie and the extinction of wolves in England. He also wrote on the history of Liverpool.
