Percy Keese Fitzhugh

Percy Keese Fitzhugh (1876–1950) was an American writer of books for boys. After working in publishing and writing a handful of children's books, among them the fantasy King Time, he found his subject in the Boy Scouts. Beginning with Tom Slade, Boy Scout of the Moving Pictures in 1915, he produced long series about Tom Slade, Roy Blakeley, Pee-wee Harris and Westy Martin, published with the approval of the Boy Scouts of America and read by a great many boys in the 1920s and 1930s. He also wrote biographies for young readers. His tone is breezy, slangy and full of comic exaggeration.
