Edward of Norwich, second Duke of York (c. 1373–1415), was an English nobleman, a grandson of King Edward III and the son of Edmund of Langley. He rose high in the favor of Richard II, survived that king's deposition, and served Henry IV in Wales and Aquitaine, though he was briefly imprisoned for his part in a plot in 1405. During that period he wrote The Master of Game, an English adaptation of Gaston Phoebus's Livre de chasse with chapters of his own on English hunting, which he dedicated to the future Henry V. He was killed at the battle of Agincourt in 1415, one of the highest-ranking English dead.
