Mrs. J. B. Dale was a British writer on palmistry in the late nineteenth century, about whom little is known beyond her book. Her Indian Palmistry was published in 1895 by the Theosophical Publishing Society in London, New York and Madras, and drew on the seventeenth-century treatise of J. Rothman as translated by the astrologer George Wharton, together with what she presented as Eastern teaching on reading the hand and the forehead.
