Hudson Gurney (1775–1864) was an English antiquary, verse writer and politician from the Norwich banking family of the Gurneys. He was a partner in the family bank, sat in Parliament for Shaftesbury and then Newtown on the Isle of Wight, and was for many years vice-president of the Society of Antiquaries. He published translations and verse, wrote on archaeological subjects, and in 1831 issued a memoir of his friend the scientist Thomas Young, with a catalog of Young's works. He was also a generous patron of antiquarian research.
