Graham Everitt

Graham Everitt was an English writer on art and social history, known for English Caricaturists and Graphic Humourists of the Nineteenth Century, first published in the 1880s and reissued in a second edition in 1893. The book follows the comic artists and caricaturists of England from the Regency to the death of John Leech in 1864, describing their careers and best-known works and using their prints to recover the manners, fashions and politics of the age. Richly illustrated with wood engravings after the originals, it was among the first detailed histories of its subject.
