Florence Fenwick Miller (1854–1935) was an English journalist, lecturer and campaigner for women's rights. She trained in medicine at a time when women could not qualify, was elected to the London School Board at twenty-two and served nine years, and kept her own name after marriage, which was then almost unheard of. For decades she wrote a column in the Illustrated London News and edited the Woman's Signal, and she lectured across Britain and the United States on physiology, education and the vote. Her life of Harriet Martineau, published in 1884 in the Eminent Women series, is a portrait of one pioneering woman by another.
