Fearing Burr Jr. (1815–1897) was an American horticulturist and seedsman of Hingham, Massachusetts, where his family had long been settled. A member of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, he spent years growing and comparing the vegetables offered by American and European seed houses, and the result was The Field and Garden Vegetables of America (1863), a descriptive catalogue of nearly eleven hundred species and varieties with directions for their cultivation that remains a reference for heirloom gardeners. With George Lincoln he also wrote The Town of Hingham in the Late Civil War (1876), a record of the town's soldiers.
