Edmund Francis Sellar

Edmund Francis Sellar was a British writer of history for children active in the Edwardian years, best known for the short biographies he contributed to the Told to the Children series published by T. C. & E. C. Jack of Edinburgh and London, with color plates by artists such as Monro S. Orr. The Story of Nelson and The Story of Lord Roberts were among his titles, each retelling a hero's life in ten brief chapters for young readers. The series aimed to give children their first acquaintance with great names in a form they could read for themselves. Little else is recorded of his life.
