Charles Hose (1863–1929) was a British colonial administrator, naturalist and ethnographer in Sarawak, on the island of Borneo. He entered the service of the Brooke government in 1884 and spent many years as administrator of the Baram district and later as a member of the colony's council, mediating between peoples and ending intertribal warfare in his region. He collected many animals new to science for British museums, and with the psychologist William McDougall wrote The Pagan Tribes of Borneo.
