A. Hamilton

Angus Hamilton was a British journalist and war correspondent who wrote on Asia and Africa in the first years of the twentieth century. He reported from South Africa during the Boer War and was among those besieged at Mafeking, an experience he described in a book on the siege. He then turned to the Far East and Central Asia, publishing Korea in 1904 and Afghanistan in 1906, a survey of the country and its borders written at the height of the rivalry between Britain and Russia.
