The others range from the fantastic to the comic: a man-eating orchid, a cannibal plant in an English greenhouse, a tropical bird that takes revenge, a hunt for a dead body in the Thames, a trip in a diving sphere, a tale of a triceratops hunt, and the misadventures of the aged Aepyornis Island castaway.
