Paul Barron Watson

Paul Barron Watson was an American lawyer and historian of the late nineteenth century, based in Boston and a member of the American Historical Association. His first book, Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (1884), was a biography of the Stoic emperor, and The Swedish Revolution Under Gustavus Vasa (1889) told how Gustavus Vasa freed Sweden from Danish rule and introduced the Reformation, drawing on Swedish letters and documents. Both books are clearly written and carefully documented. Few other details of his life appear in standard reference works.
