Newton Marshall Hall

Newton Marshall Hall was an American Congregational minister and religious educator active in the early twentieth century. He served churches in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, including the North Congregational Church in Springfield, Massachusetts, and devoted much of his work to teaching the Bible to children and families. With Irving Francis Wood, professor of biblical literature at Smith College, he produced The Bible Story in six volumes for the King-Richardson Company of Springfield in 1917, retelling the Old and New Testaments for young readers with lessons for parents and teachers. The two also collaborated on The Book of Life, a similar graded presentation of the scriptures.
