Mrs. E. Burke Collins was an American writer of popular romances for the story papers and cheap paperback series of the 1880s and 1890s, published by George Munro's Sons and Street & Smith in New York. Her novels, among them Lillian's Vow (1898), follow the pattern of the dime novel of the period: a wronged heroine, a hidden crime, a disguised villain and a happy ending reached through many reversals. Like most of the women who wrote for this market, she left almost no trace outside her books, and her first name and dates are not recorded.
