Miron Elisha Hard

Miron Elisha Hard was an American schoolteacher and amateur mycologist of Ohio. He served as a school superintendent while studying the mushrooms of the Midwest in his spare time, collecting and photographing specimens from the woods and fields around him. His book The Mushroom, Edible and Otherwise, published in Columbus in 1908 with photographs of nearly all the common species, was written as a guide for beginners and stresses caution in distinguishing the edible kinds from the poisonous.
