Lorna Moon (1886–1930) was the pen name of Nora Wilson Low, a Scottish writer and Hollywood screenwriter. She grew up in Strichen, a village in Aberdeenshire, emigrated to North America as a young woman and found work writing scenarios for Paramount and other studios in the 1920s. Her short stories of village life in Scotland, collected as Doorways in Drumorty in 1925, were praised for their humor and sharpness, and her novel Dark Star, set in the same country, followed in 1929. She died of tuberculosis at the age of forty-three.
