Lorinda Munson Bryant

Lorinda Munson Bryant was an American writer and lecturer on art who introduced young readers to painting and sculpture in the early twentieth century. Her books presented famous works of art one at a time, with plain explanations of what each picture showed and why it mattered, and with short lives of the artists. They include What Pictures to See in Europe, Famous Pictures of Real Boys and Girls, Famous Pictures of Real Animals, American Pictures and Their Painters and The Children's Book of Celebrated Pictures.
