Lady Charlotte Campbell Bury (1775–1861) was a Scottish novelist and diarist, the daughter of the fifth Duke of Argyll and of the celebrated beauty Elizabeth Gunning. Known for her own beauty and wit in Edinburgh society, she married first Colonel John Campbell and, after his death, the Reverend Edward John Bury. She served for some years as lady-in-waiting to Caroline, Princess of Wales, and her anonymous Diary Illustrative of the Times of George the Fourth caused a scandal. She wrote many fashionable novels of high life, and a cookery book was published under her name.
