L. P. Wyman

Levi Parker Wyman was an American educator and writer who signed his books L. P. Wyman, Ph.D., and produced several series of adventure stories for boys of twelve to sixteen in the 1920s and 1930s, published by A. L. Burt. The Golden Boys, the Lakewood Boys and the Hunniwell Boys each ran to half a dozen or more volumes; the Hunniwell books, including The Hunniwell Boys and the Platinum Mystery of 1928, are aviation stories built around two brothers and their airplane at the height of the public enthusiasm that followed Lindbergh's flight. The series are now collected as examples of the juvenile fiction of the period.
