Julian Street (1879–1947) was an American journalist, humorist and writer. Born in Chicago, he worked for the New York Mail and Express before turning to magazine writing. His light travel books, Abroad at Home and American Adventures, recorded journeys through American cities with an amused but affectionate eye, and he wrote Paris à la Carte and other books on food and wine, later becoming a respected authority on French cuisine. With Booth Tarkington he wrote the play The Country Cousin, and his short story "Mr. Bisbee's Princess" won an O. Henry Award.
