Henry Vizetelly (1820–1894) was an English publisher, journalist and wine writer. Trained as an engraver, he helped found illustrated papers in London and later served as a foreign correspondent in Paris and Berlin. He served as wine juror for Britain at international exhibitions and wrote Facts About Champagne and Other Sparkling Wines, Facts About Port and Madeira and The Wines of the World. As a publisher in the 1880s he issued cheap English translations of Émile Zola and other French novelists, for which he was prosecuted for obscenity and, though nearly seventy, imprisoned in 1889. He also wrote memoirs, Glances Back Through Seventy Years.
