Henry Nicholson Ellacombe (1822–1916) was an English clergyman, gardener and writer. He succeeded his father as vicar of Bitton in Gloucestershire in 1850 and held the living for sixty-six years, making the vicarage garden one of the most celebrated in England for its collection of rare plants, which he exchanged freely with botanists and nurserymen across Europe. His books include The Plant-Lore and Garden-Craft of Shakespeare, In a Gloucestershire Garden, In My Vicarage Garden and Elsewhere and a study of the plants of Chaucer, and he was for many years a contributor to the gardening press. He was made an honorary canon of Bristol.
