Henry Drummond (1851–1897) was a Scottish evangelist, writer and lecturer in natural science. Born in Stirling and trained for the ministry of the Free Church of Scotland, he worked with the American evangelist Dwight L. Moody during his British revival campaigns and later taught natural science at the Free Church College in Glasgow. Natural Law in the Spiritual World (1883), which applied biological laws to the spiritual life, became a bestseller. His address on love from Paul's first letter to the Corinthians, The Greatest Thing in the World, was even more widely read. He also traveled in central Africa and wrote The Ascent of Man.
