Henry Charles Lahee

Henry Charles Lahee was an English-born writer on music who settled in Boston, where he ran a musical agency and wrote popular books for concertgoers. His works include Famous Singers of To-day and Yesterday, Famous Violinists of To-day and Yesterday, Famous Pianists, Grand Opera in America and The Organ and Its Masters. Annals of Music in America (1922) gathers into a single chronological record the significant musical events in the United States from colonial times to his own day, from the first music books and organs to first performances and the debuts of great artists.
