Harold Morse Dunphy

Harold Morse Dunphy was an American lawyer who served as editor of One Thousand Ways to Make a Living, or An Encyclopaedia of Plans to Make Money, a compendium of numbered money-making plans gathered from correspondents across North America and published in the early twentieth century. By his own account in the book, his task was to collect the plans as they were submitted, see that nothing unlawful was included, and let them stand in the plain words of the people who had tried them, without literary polish. Beyond this book, which was reprinted several times, little is recorded of his life or career.
