Grant Martin Overton (1887–1930) was an American critic, editor and novelist. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he worked as a newspaper journalist in New York, wrote book reviews and literary columns, and was closely associated with the New York publisher George H. Doran, for whom he wrote much of his criticism. His surveys of contemporary fiction, such as The Women Who Make Our Novels, When Winter Comes to Main Street and Cargoes for Crusoes, introduced readers to the popular authors of the 1920s. He also published several novels of his own.
