Grace Livingston Hill (1865–1947) was an American novelist, among the most popular writers of Christian fiction of her time. Born in Wellsville, New York, the daughter of a Presbyterian minister and niece of the children's author Isabella Alden, who wrote as Pansy, she published her first stories as a girl. After the death of her husband in 1899 she wrote to support her two daughters, and over the next five decades produced more than a hundred novels, including Marcia Schuyler, The Enchanted Barn and Tomorrow About This Time, in which clean romance and suspense carry an evangelical message. Her books sold in the millions and are still reprinted.
