Gina Lombroso (1872–1944) was an Italian physician and writer, the daughter of the criminologist Cesare Lombroso. She took degrees in letters and medicine at the University of Turin, worked closely with her father and wrote Criminal Man (1911), an English summary of his theories, as well as a biography of him. She married the historian Guglielmo Ferrero, and under the name Gina Lombroso-Ferrero published essays on women, society and the effects of machinery on modern life, among them The Soul of Woman. Opposed to Fascism, the couple left Italy for Geneva in 1930, where she spent the rest of her life.
