Edwin Lefevre

Edwin Lefèvre (1871–1943) was an American financial journalist and author. Born in Colón, Panama, he was educated in the United States and became a stock-market reporter in New York, where his Wall Street Stories (1901) established his reputation for understanding speculators from the inside. He served as a Panamanian diplomat in Spain and Italy from 1909 to 1913. Reminiscences of a Stock Operator (1923), a fictionalized memoir of the trader Jesse Livermore first serialized in the Saturday Evening Post, has never gone out of print and is still read on Wall Street.
