Dugald Butler

Dugald Butler was a Scottish minister of the Church of Scotland and a writer on church history in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. While minister of Abernethy in Perthshire, he wrote Scottish Cathedrals and Abbeys for the Guild Library series, a concise guide to the great medieval churches of Scotland, as well as a history of his own ancient parish. His other works dealt with figures of Scottish religious history, including the visit of George Fox to Scotland and the devotional writer Henry Scougal.
