Charles Mackie

Charles Mackie was the compiler of Norfolk Annals, a two-volume chronological record of events in the English county of Norfolk during the nineteenth century, published at Norwich in 1901. He worked from the files of the Norfolk Chronicle, the county newspaper at whose office the book was printed, and arranged its reports of elections, crimes, disasters, public works and local celebrations year by year. Little else is recorded about him, but his volumes remain a useful reference for the social history of Norwich and Norfolk.
