Bertha E. Bush

Bertha E. Bush was an American writer for children in the early twentieth century. Her Stories of Robin Hood appeared in 1912 in the Instructor Literature Series, the inexpensive booklets that F. A. Owen of Dansville, New York, published for use in elementary classrooms, and she contributed other retellings and stories to the same kind of school market. Her prose is simple and direct, written to be read aloud. Little else about her life is recorded in standard reference works.
